Urban Voices 2019: What do cities need from the next government?

Join us for the launch of the UK City Leaders' Survey 2019

Event starts at 18.00 - 20.00 on 2 December 2019 at The Stanley Building, 7 Pancras Square, N1C 4AG

This event will launch our second annual Urban Voices study of city leaders’ policy priorities and discuss how urban issues are faring in the General Election campaign.

As national politicians battle it out, Urban Voices will exclusively reveal city leaders’ priorities and set what they want from government to make their cities better places to live and work.

Andrew Carter, our chief executive, will set out the key findings of the research before chairing a panel discussion about what powers and funding people living in urban areas need from the next Government – and the prospects of this happening. The discussion will be followed by a drinks reception.

Date: Monday 2 December
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Venue: The Stanley Building, 7 Pancras Square, King’s Cross, London, N1C 4AG

On the panel will be:

  • Heather Jameson, Editor, The MJ
  • Tony Travers, Visiting Professor in the LSE Department of Government and Director of LSE London
  • Andrew Hawkins, Chairman, SavantaComRes
  • Joanna Rowelle, Director of Integrated City Planning, Arup
