OECD review of Newcastle in the North East: one year on

Following the OECD Review of Newcastle in the North East (July 2006), Newcastle City Council commissioned the Centre for Cities and IPPR North to produce a follow-up, independent assessment of progress made over the past year. The report showed that Newcastle and the North East had made important progress in thinking about their economic future. It also demonstrated that more could be done by the city and its partners to set out a clear economic strategy, to prioritise investment, and to involve the private sector in delivering a better economic future for the city region.
