The underemployed army continues to strengthen

The number of people working part time because they could not get a full time job has increased considerably since the onset of the recession, and now stands at a record high of 1.25 million people.  This, coupled with an increase in the number of temporary workers, is likely to soak up any future jobs growth without a corresponding fall in unemployment.
