Urban battlegrounds: how can the Liberal Democrats win in cities in 2015?

Join us at our flagship fringe, in partnership with Liberal Democrat Voice, during Liberal Democrat Party Conference to debate the most important issues to urban areas ahead of the 2015 General Election

Event starts on 6 October 2014 at Morar Room, SECC Glasgow (secure zone)

At the Centre for Cities flagship fringe during the 2014 Liberal Democrat Party Conference, we will hear from a high level panel on what the Liberal Democrats need to do to ensure they are making the most of the UK’s urban areas.

Of the marginal seats in the 2015 election, two thirds are in cities. Cities are where people live and work and they are where some of the biggest opportunitites for jobs and economic growth are. They are also where big challenges play out.

We are delighted to be joined by:

Stephen Willams MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government
Lord Ben Stoneham, Liberal Democrat Spokesperson on Business, Innovation and Skills
Cllr Wendy Taylor, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group, Newcastle City Council
Alexandra Jones, Chief Executive, Centre for Cities (Chair)

Please join us to hear more about how the Liberal Democrats will take urban policy forward in the next five years.

Refreshments will be served, no registration required. For more information contact rsvp@centreforcities.org.
