This evening conference and reception will bring together regional politicians, academics and business leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges for cities in the region, how to deliver levelling up, and what the West of England needs from the Government to drive growth in the region.

The Levelling Up White Paper published in February 2022 set out the Government’s ambition for all places to achieve their productivity potential, supporting economic growth and improvements in living standards across the UK. But what does this mean in practice for the West of England, and what does the region need from Government to drive the economic growth that is critical to a more prosperous region and country? And how can universities in the region support innovation and research and development to drive growth and prosperity for businesses and local people?

The event is free to attend, but places are limited, so please register and save the date.
