Event starts at 11.30 -12.30 on 29 June 2021 at Online, via Zoom

Cities always endure, but to do that they change. Covid-19 and the restrictions necessary to control its spread have already changed them – and the question is how much of this will be permanent and, how will cities evolve and remain exciting places to live, work and visit.

At the same time, the Government has promised to level up the country, to support places to be more productive. How can city mayors and leaders close the gap and what help do they need from government?

Confirmed speakers:

  • Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester
  • Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire
  • Abi Brown, Leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council
  • Jonathan House, Devolved and local government leader, PwC UK

The event was chaired by Andrew Carter, Chief Executive at Centre for Cities.
