A chance to hear from the Triumph of the City author on how UK city economies are faring in comparison to their international counterparts.
World-renowned urban economist Prof Ed Glaeser, author of Triumph of the City and the Fred and Eleanor Glimp Professor of Economics at Harvard University, will be speaking at a private Centre for Cities roundtable on May 26th. Prof Glaeser will be in the UK to study our city economies and investigate how they are faring in comparison to their domestic and international counterparts.
This discussion will bring together city and national politicians alongside senior Whitehall officials to debate how cities can balance the need for place-based and people-based investment. It will offer guests the chance to discuss with Prof Glaeser the work that he has been doing while in the UK and hear his insights into how our cities can improve and strengthen their economic performance.
