We hosted an in conversation event with Ed Glaeser, Professor of Economics at Harvard University
At this City Horizons event we were joined by internationally-renowned academic Ed Glaeser, Professor of Economics at Harvard University, to discuss the changes cities are facing as we look to the future, and how they have been accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Professor Glaeser discussed the core arguments from his latest book – Survival of the City – which examines the future of urban areas and seeks to answer one very important question: will cities survive the future?
During the event he explored how policy changes could improve the quality of life in cities and benefit everyone living in them.
You can find a link here to the 1858 Disraeli speech mentioned by Professor Glaeser during his presentation.
The event was chaired by Andrew Carter, Chief Executive, Centre for Cities.
