Centre for Cities hosted an online discussion with Sir Andy Street CBE, former Mayor of the West Midlands, and Andrew Carter, Chief Executive of Centre for Cities.

Drawing on his experience leading one of England’s largest city regions, Sir Andy discussed the progress of devolution in England, the challenges and opportunities ahead, and the case for greater fiscal devolution. The conversation explored how devolved powers and funding can support economic growth, improve public services and strengthen local leadership.

The discussion was followed by an audience Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to put their questions directly to Sir Andy Street and Andrew Carter.
