City Horizons with Andy Haldane

Join us for this only City Horizons event on productivity with the Chair of the Industrial Strategy Council

Event starts at 12.00 -13.30 on 15 October 2020 at Online

The Government has put its aim to ‘level up’ the economy at the heart of its domestic policy, yet the impact of Covid-19 on the economy shows the current crisis risks widening even further inequalities among different parts of the country.

As part of our City Horizons events Andy Haldane, Chair of the Industrial Strategy Council joined us to talk about the historic trends around cities in the UK, what has driven them and what they might imply for productivity. He considered how these trends may have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and what this might mean for the future of cities in the UK and the potential implications for productivity and the drive for levelling up.

The event will be chaired by Andrew Carter Chief Executive at Centre for Cities, and will be followed by a Q&A discussion.
