In our new monthly podcast series, Andrew talks cities with leading academics, policy-makers and practitioners. The first episode, which looks at the cities agenda over the last decade and what the next 10 years may bring, is now available.
Today sees the launch of our new monthly podcast series – City Talks. Each month I’ll be talking to some of the leading academics, policy-makers and practitioners involved in the cities agenda and exploring with them the big ideas and developments that have been affecting cities in the UK – looking back over the last 10 years and casting our eyes forward to the next 10 years.
We got a stellar cast of experts already signed up and topics we intend to cover include: politics and voters, mayors and leadership, transport, housing, rebalancing and the deficit.
To start us off, the first episode provides a more general overview of the cities agenda. To discuss where we’ve been and where we’re going, I was joined by Professor Tony Travers from the LSE, Professor Michael Parkinson from the University of Liverpool and Brian Groom, until recently the UK Business and Employment Editor at the FT.
