Valentine joined the Centre for Cities as a researcher in October 2019. She currently focuses on environmental policies and leads research on the key role played by cities in addressing air pollution.

Before joining the Centre for Cities, Valentine was a research assistant in the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge, where she worked on housing and planning policies.

She holds a degree in Economics and Sociology from La Sorbonne University, a MSc in Quantitative Sociology from the Ecole Normale Superieure and a MSc in Urban Policy from Sciences Po Paris and the London School of Economics.
