Matthew Taylor became interim Director of Labour Market Enforcement on 1 August 2019.
He led the review to consider how employment practices need to change in order to keep pace with modern business models.
Matthew has been Chief Executive of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) since 2006.
Prior to becoming Chief Executive of the RSA, Matthew was Chief Adviser on Political Strategy to the Prime Minister. He was the Director of the Institute for Public Policy Research between 1999 and 2003, has written numerous articles, and is a regular panellist on Radio 4’s Moral Maze.
