Joe Burns is Chief of Staff to Lord Sainsbury.
Joe was Lord Sainsbury’s Private Secretary between 2003 and 2006 when he was Minister for Science and Innovation. Joe left the government with him in October 2006 and has been in his current chief of staff role for the last 12 years. Joe is also a Trustee of his charitable foundation, Gatsby.
Joe has an undergraduate degree in history and politics and a masters in international political economy from the University of Sheffield.
