Alan Harding is Chief Economic Adviser to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Innovation Research at the Alliance Manchester Business School. He oversees the analytical work that supports Greater Manchester research, strategy development and evaluation. Previously, he spent 30 years in academia leading specialist research Institutes and Centres focusing on urban-regional development, policy and governance.
