Tom joined the Centre for Cities in March 2011.
Previous work
Previously he worked for the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) in several research roles, including as Head of Research. He specialised in valuing design and in culture and regeneration, and also managed research projects on subjects such as housing quality, space standards, physical capital, the cost of bad design and beauty.
He has also worked in policy and research for the National Trust, and is a fellow of the RSA.
