Creative and innovative businesses help to drive productivity growth and economic prosperity within UK cities. Understanding the role that cities have in supporting innovation is particularly important – after all, 60 percent of all businesses in the UK choose to cluster into just 8 percent of land. But the data shows that some UK cities are much more attractive locations to do business than others, with many struggling to provide access to a wide enough pool of skilled labour, or high quality physical and digital infrastructure.
