The first 100 days – what should be at the top of the Mayor of Greater Manchester’s in-tray?

Centre for Cities is holding a panel debate with guest speaker Andy Burnham MP about the top priorities for the new Greater Manchester mayor.

Event starts at 5.30pm on 11 July 2016 at Manchester Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester M60 2LA

Voters in Greater Manchester are now only 12 months away from electing their first Metro Mayor. Discussions over whether or not the city region should have a mayor have been overtaken by the need to put in place the arrangements to be ready once the votes have been counted and the mayor announced on Friday 5th May, 2017.

Centre for Cities is organising a policy discussion in each of the city regions that have signed devolution deals. Our aim is to bring voters and key local stakeholders together to discuss: The first 100 days – what should be at the top of the mayor’s in-tray?

We’ll be hearing from:

Andy Burnham MP Prospective Labour candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester
Prof Francesca Gains Professor of Public Policy, University of Manchester
Clive Memmott Chief Executive, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce
Jennifer Williams Social Affairs Editor, Manchester Evening News

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A and a drinks reception for guests. Register on eventbrite below. You can also show you’ll be attending and share the event with friends on Facebook.
