Rita currently oversees the External Affairs work and plays a key role in developing and implementing the Centre’s External Affairs Strategy. In particular, Rita leads on the Centre’s stakeholder engagement, events, branding along with its design and digital work. She has a keen interest in how digital platforms and products can enhance and support better policy making in cities and nationally, as such she has led on the development of the Centre’s Data Tool. Rita also organises and manages all of the Centre’s events and leads on the External Affairs activity as part of the What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth.

Rita first joined Centre for Cities in 2011 as Administrator before moving into External Affairs. Before that she worked at IPPR. She has a degree in Journalism from Westminster University and an MA in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths.
