Rebecca’s recent research explores the drivers of private sector investment in UK cities, looking at what cities can do to best attract this much-needed investment. She has also researched migration between cities, specifically of students and graduates, to better understand the brain drain to London.

Rebecca joined the Centre in September 2016 from PwC’s Economics and Policy team. As an economic consultant her work explored the relationship between agglomeration and productivity, and investigated current trends in housing tenure such as the rise in private rental. She also wrote research comparing the local economies of UK cities.

She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, Pembroke College.
