Elli came to the Centre for Cities as an intern with a background and interest in urban design, planning, development and housing. The wide-reaching impact of design and development on cities and their residents led to an interest in how policy can be most effectively used to guide this process.

She has previously held various roles in urban design and conservation, community engagement, teaching and research. She has an MA in Urban Design and a BA in History.
