This conference has been organised to examine how, in practice, Ireland can have a modern and sustainable transport future that will connect the all-island economy, meet the needs of business and individuals but which also increases sustainability and reduces the impact of the transport sector on the environment. The conference will take a strategic look at Ireland’s transport system including road and rail infrastructure, public transport and gateways as well as examining issues around the movement of freight, network management and sustainable travel. It will do so via a high-profile panel of local and visiting speakers.

Adam Marshall, Head of Policy, Centre for Cities will be presenting on the theme of 'Connecting cities: A transport priority'.
